1. White Mountains: 3-Day Self-Guided Hike & Brewery Visit
Spend 3 days enjoying the wonders of the White Mountains on this 2 night, self-guided camping experience. All hikes on this trip include custom digital maps that allow you to follow your progress on a mobile device. Your trip begins after you pick up your camping gear rental from a convenient self-serve locker kiosk. With your gear in tow, you'll continue towards Lincoln where you'll find the campsite you'll be staying at. after checking in, either spend your time relaxing at your campsite, or select from a provided list of smaller adventures to enjoy. When morning comes, it's time to choose between 2 hikes. The first is a shorter hike up Mount Pemigewasset on the south end of Franconia Notch. The hike is roughly 2.5 miles round trip and features a beautiful clifftop overlook of the region. The second option is a longer hike to the top of one of New Hampshire's 48 peaks above 4,000 feet. The round-trip hike of Mount Garfield is roughly 9.5 miles and features spectacular views of the Pemigewasset Wilderness and beyond. For the afternoon and evening, it's time to visit a brewery. Choose between 3 breweries north of the notch including Reklis Brewing Co, Schilling Beer Co, and Iron Furnace Brewing. Depending on brewery restrictions, purchase a beer to go and enjoy at your campsite, or purchase a pint to enjoy on an outdoor patio. On the next day, enjoy breakfast at your campsite and head out on the Kancamagus Highway to the Lincoln Woods Trailhead. Be sure to bring your swimsuit and walk to Franconia Falls. This is a 6-mile round trip hike on relatively flat ground that leads to a gorgeous swimming hole. After enjoying a swim and hike, follow your itinerary and choose to visit more breweries in the Lincoln/Woodstock area including One Love Brewery and the Woodstock Inn Brewery. Continue south to return your camping gear to the same locker that you picked it up from at the start of the trip.
