What People Are Saying About Florence
Florence is a beautiful city and the Segway is a great way of maximising how much you see in a short space of time so you can then choose what to go back and re-visit in more detail at a later date. Because its also great fun riding around on the Segway it's also the best way of encouraging teenagers to go sightseeing with you! Having a personal guide meant we learned so much about the history of this fantastic city. The only negative is that this is advertised as a 3-hour tour and it's only 2 hours (admittedly we didn't need to spend half hour learning how to ride it first, as we've done it before in Paris) so just be aware of that. But to be honest, in 2 hours we covered 6 km and I don't think there's much more you could see in another hour anyway.
Segway tour was great fun and segways were very easy to use although slightly flimsy. No safety helmet was offered. Both my husband and I came a off the segways on the tour and my husband was very bruised and battered. The Segway tour guide was lovely and very knowledgeable. Overall great fun and highly recommend it. Quite prices though 130 euros for the 2 of us for 2.5 hours.
Coach and Pisa guide were both knowledgeable and fluent in both languages being used. Lucca guide was poor and appeared to struggle with moving between the languages. The whole group became bored very quickly. I would recommend the tour took one same speaking group around whilst the others had free time, then it was reversed.
