This tour was an amazing experience. I highly recommend. The scooter practice is the hardest part of the day to be honest but needed to build your confidence. The tour guides were amazing and very patient. They were committed to making sure everyone was comfortable before taking off. The rolling hills and little towns we drove through and stopped were very cute. The lunch/tasting at the end is at a nice winery. If you have the time for this tour, do it. you will not regret it.

Full description

Take a ride on the iconic Vespa, through the lush countryside of Tuscany. We will pick you up with one of our comfortable, air-conditioned mini-vans and we'll take you to the countryside, away from the busy city. In just 15 minutes you'll be at the doors of Chianti countryside. Then you will receive an orientation on how to use the Vespa safely, before we head out for our engaging and enjoyable ride. Driving at a relaxed pace along quiet and scenic country roads, you will be offered beautiful views of the rolling hillsides. We will visit different medieval villages in the heart of Tuscany and enjoy the most incredible landscapes. Next, we will stop at a 17th-century villa for a typical Tuscan meal and a guided tour of the vineyards and cellars, with wine tasting and olive oil tasting.

Know before you go

  • You must know how to ride a scooter and bring a valid driver's license to join the tour. Drivers must be 18 years or older and have a valid driving license the tour day, otherwise, you won’t be allowed to drive. Passengers must be at least 13 years old
  • The activity provider reserves the right to judge your driving ability and self-confidence and to stop the use of the Vespa at any point without refund
  • Any participant unable to drive scooters safely may ride double with a partner, or on the guide’s scooter if available or continue the tour on board the support minivan if unable to be a safe passenger as well. No refunds will be granted in this case
  • Mileage: 22 miles round-trip (35 kms)
  • Terrain: Mostly paved back roads with very little traffic.
  • Difficulty: Easy - average speed 20 km/h (12.5 mls/h). Minivan support always guaranteed
  • The maximum load the Vespa can tolerate is 170 kg / 374 lbs (whether one or two people, bags included)

We had an absolute great time on our tour! Our guides were knowledgeable and very friendly. It was awesome to cruise through the countryside with the wind in your hair! One suggestion is that they make a couple stops to take pics of the views. The only picture stop was on a road lined with cypress trees. It was very pretty but I wanted pics of the rolling hills and vineyards.
