Full description
Visit three medieval towns and the Chianti area in one day on this tour. First, you will cross the beautiful Chianti hills as you ride south from Florence in an air-conditioned GT Coach. You will arrive at San Gimignano, a medieval town declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. San Gimignano is famous for its white wine, the world-renowned Vernaccia, and its skyscrapers! Take time to wind your way through the narrow streets and admire the landscape. Your tour will make its second stop in Siena. Here you will find the Piazza del Campo, famous for the Palio Horse Race and for its splendid examples of Gothic civic architecture. You can also visit the magnificent Palazzo Pubblico with its Torre del Mangia. Continuing south, the tour will make a stop in Monteriggioni, where the medieval city walls remain intact. The main piazza, the Piazza Roma, is the perfect place to savor the history of the town and relive the atmosphere of olden times - while enjoying a well-earned ice-cream! Finally, the tour heads to the Chianti area, where you will enjoy postcard-perfect landscapes. Conclude your day at a famous wine estate where you can taste fine Chianti red wine along with homemade snacks.

This experience was amazing! We got enough time to explore on our own a bit, not a lot but enough to leave us wanting more. Honestly, we chose this tour because my husband really wanted to see Monteriggioni (Assassin's Creed) and this was one of our favorite parts of our trip. It was low season so our tour was half English/half Spanish but Elena (or Helen) did amazing making sure everyone knew what was going on. For lunch, Gluten-free accommodations due to an allergy were made with no issue! Beautiful tour!

It was an intense day, and very interesting. The very nice guide, although a script should be prepared because sometimes it was noticed that improvising worked and repeated information. They should also leave more free time in Siena, because if you enter the cathedral as they recommend, it doesn't give you time for anything else. Maybe they could put the food a little later, or leave half an hour longer after this. You could almost do without wine tasting, since it is nothing special ...

The excursion has been fantastic, the organization and the guides, Alfonso and Constantin, also Boris the driver. The pity of the day was the lunch, poor quality and quantity. Too bad the day is spoiled by a bad meal. Also, they cannot serve food on trays to share in groups where people do not know each other. It is preferred to pay a little more and have a lunch that responds to the quality of the rest of the services offered. Being able to satisfy an entire group is very difficult, but it was a general opinion. The La Favorita restaurant in Siena is NOT worth it. On the other hand, the tasting of wines and other products was great, Nerea's explanation of the winery itself was very good. To say that we expected to visit the winery and not just the tasting.
