Full description

You've seen it in picture books. You've seen it on the walls of your favorite Italian restaurant. But nothing can prepare you for the amazing and beautiful Tower of Pisa.

Come and visit this incredible city and learn about more than the architectural blunder that made it famous. Our excursion begins with a walk along the Medieval walls of the city up to the old entrance gate. From here, you'll be treated to a breathtaking view of the Piazza die Miracoli with its bright white marble architecture.

Your guide will share historical tales and then accompany you into the interior of the Cathedral. This marvel of Romanesque Art will inspire your senses. When you're done, visit the Monumental Graveyard and admire the Baptistery. After the Cathedral visit, it's finally time. We venture out into the bright Italian sun to marvel at the leaning tower itself. Snap some photos and play with its funny angle by pretending to hold up the tower — be creative.

While you're here your guide will also tell you this spot's secrets and history. We'll then skip the line and head up the 294 steps to reach the inner side of the Leaning Tower and enjoy a very unique perspective on the square below.

I loved the tour because the person who transferred us and the guide in Pisa were very kind and took the time to explain the tour in English and Spanish, with a lot of patience and a lot of fun. The only observation I have is that the meeting point is very far and difficult to reach considering the weather conditions at the time, too hot; and that in my case I paid to go up to the tower of Pisa but my name did not appear on the guide's document, I understand that it is not the guide's problem but the company's.

The guides were very kind and knowledgeable. I had a great time but the free time (if you had the tower added) was broken up. I still had time to do a little shopping and grab a bite to eat... be prepared to pay extra the going price for a bottle of water/soda is 2,50. I wish they had told us about no bags if you are going into the tower before we were already on the bus or I would have planned for that. I was not crazy about leaving my purse (with passport etc) on the bus but I felt safer leaving it there instead of paying someone in Pisa to watch it.

Pisa and the leaning tower have been on my bucket list for a while now and this was the perfect way to get familiar with the history and the city. There's not much time but I would say we had enough to climb the tower and see inside the cathedral. The local guide was really excellent!
