One of the best private tours we have ever had in Italy. Luciana is an absolutely amazing guide and a knowledgeable and funny person! She really treated us to multiple museums and alabaster workshop tours! We started our tour at 8:30 in the morning and ended about 18:00 in the evening. She drove us in her AC car to Volterra, which is about 1.5 hours away in the rich countryside of Tuscany. Afterward, we went to a winery and got a full tasting and lunch, with appetizers and homemade lasagna! We got to meet a lot of the countryside locals because Luciana has a lot of friends and local connections. Because of this we were able to have alot of VIP access to certain activities and got to sample a lot of food and drink for free. After the winery, she also drove us to San Gimignano where we got to see all the beautiful landscapes of the valley below and got to have some free gelato! Then she dropped us off close to our hotel so we wouldn’t have to walk too far in the heat! Very exclusive!
We had a perfect day with Luciana. I highly recommend this tour or any other offered by Tuscany4Explore! We traveled with my 80 yr old father - Luciana answered all his questions and pointed out things of specific interest to him. We fell in love with Volterra - Luciana brought us to shops to sample local delicacies and showed us many special sites. She tailored the tour to history (our major interest). Her knowledge was superior. After Volterra, we had lunch. Our tour fell on a national holiday. Although many places were closed, Luciana found a special winery that treated us to wine, beautiful charcuterie and a pasta lunch! My husband felt this was the highlight of our entire trip! Luciana supplemented the winery workers info with her own knowledge. We then went to San Gimignano. We visited the best gelateria, toured the city and learned more from Luciana. We plan to return! Our day was a special experience - Luciana balanced facts with charming moments we will remember forever!
