Pitti Palace was the residence of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, already inhabited by the Medici, the Lorraine and Savoy. Is the palace in the area of Oltrarno, Pitti square.

The gardens behind the Palazzo Pitti, the residence of the Medici first, and the Lorraine and Savoy were built between the fifteenth and nineteenth century. The first Renaissance style setting, visible in the structure of the buildings, were added over the years. Some of them lead to ponds, fountains, temples, and caves.
