Full description
A splendid excursion through the fertile and picturesque Tuscan countryside to the historic university city of Pisa, famous for its architectural beauty. Upon arrival in Pisa, your informative guide will take you on a thorough guided walking tour of Piazza dei Miracoli and its monuments. Be dazzled by this marvelous square which is dominated by the wonderful Cathedral* where you can visit the indoor part, a model of the distinctive Pisan Romanesque architecture, the celebrated Leaning Tower, the round-shaped Baptistery surrounded by its suggestive columned arcades and its “Camposanto”, originally a cemetery, an extraordinary quadrangular cloister delimiting with its marble façade the Square to the North. Be enthralled by the history and the leaning structure of the Tower. After the guided visit you will have some free time for memorable pictures, for exploring on your own the historical quarter where you can admire the Church of San Sisto, one of the oldest churches in Pisa, and Piazza dei Cavalieri, which was the political center in the middle age. *In case of long queues, if you cannot visit the interior of the Cathedral, you will be offered a guided visit of Piazza dei Cavalieri.

Highly recommended, so the point for meeting is accurate and one should be on time as they leave at 1330 hours sharp. The bus is very comfortable and the guide in the bus tells about all the place en route to Pisa and accompanies to the Leaning tower. once you reach the leaning tower there are exceptional trained guide which tell you all about the monuments like the cathedral and the leaning tower. The guides then give ample time to have photos, selfie, eat food, buy something for memory. Also, the process to go back is also smooth when the guide makes you remember the reporting time and reporting spot. Things went smooth in the guided tour and I recommend everyone should take this tour. Again in repeat the departure time is strict so report on the spot at 1330 hours.

The bus trip and bus guide were excellent

The guided tour was so bad, we gave back our receivers after the first 20 minutes. The transmission and static made it almost incoherent and a waist of time. The guide himself should find a different job. Worst guide I’ve ever had even trying to listen to his disinterested canned speech. We almost missed the tour because instructions did not take us to the right location.

Pisa is a must see if you’re in Florence. The bus ride was comfortable but a bit warm until the driver turned up the AC. Arriving at the bus parking lot it’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the tower and basilica. If it’s hot, like it was for us, just be prepared. A bandana or small towel soaked in water will help cool you down.
