Full description
After meeting your driver and guide at the Piazza Santa Maria Novella at 2:30 PM, it’s off to Chianti for a wine-filled day that’s the perfect break from energetic Florence. Your first stop is to a rustic wine estate, where the owners will show you through the vineyards and cellar to unlock the secrets of winemaking. Enjoy a tasting of some of their best Chianti wines, as well as a snack centered around their home-produced olive oil. Next it’s off Greve in Chianti, one of the best-known Italian wine villages, famous for its quaint charm and sought-after wine. After exploring the winding alleways, medieval buildings, and artisanal shops, it’s off to yet another vineyard. In the heart of olive groves and grapevines, participate in another wine tasting, the owners of the vineyard helping you improve your sommelier skills.  After the tasting, you’ll head back to Florence, ready to embrace the bustle of the city after a respite in the country.

Wasn’t what I was expecting. I might’ve misread but I thought it was going to be a smaller group. We also spent half the trip driving to the wineries and back to Florence and felt rushed and didn’t get to fully experience the winery, especially the second one. People I interacted with and the guide she was nice. Wineries and scenery were beautiful.

First stop was a small vineyard, people were knowledgeable, several wines were sampled. The second stop was very nice, owner greeted us and talked about each product we tried. The wines were excellent and the balsamic vinegars were the best i have ever tasted.
