This was by far the best tour we have ever had in a museum. What we thought would be a regular visit turned out to be a deeply thought provoking learning experience which changed our whole view of the renaissance. The two hour guided tour we booked turned into a fascinating three hour excursion through the history of florentine art-history. It was perhaps the highlight of our trip to Florence.

The Museum was beyond words! And our guide made the experience all that much more enjoyable. His knowledge allowed us to understand what was going on at the time of the works of art and the meaning behind some of them. A little peak into the mind of the artist. It brought the whole time period to life in my mind.

This was a great tour! Our guide was so patient with us, we have two small children. She showed us all the main and most famous of the paintings in the museum and she was able to answer all our questions about them. She was so very knowledgable that it truly made the experience worth while. I would suggest this to anyone looking to visit the museum for the first time. After the initial tour you are able to stay in the museum to view all the other exhibits. Our guide also gave us the history of the museum and the family that created it. Our guides name was Glenda and she was AMAZING!
