This was a wonderful excursion. We visited 2 wineries which were perfectly different. The first was a more traditional winery in which we saw barrels, had a lovely tasting and learned to use a napkin to see the color of the wine. Lovely stop. The 2nd winery was in a beautiful villa. Gorgeous grounds we got to tour and we took beautiful pics. Both stops had delish wine and olive oil. Our tour guide was so personal and took pics of everyone. It was such a perfect half day trip!

This wine tasting was the best thing we did in Florence! Our guide was so informative and fun. We learned a lot about the Chianti region and the growers’ wine-making practices. The two wineries and respective wines were quite different and offered a good spectrum of wine to enjoy. We were given four tastings (pretty big glasses too) at each winery as well as a decent serve of charcuterie and cheeses. Can’t recommend this activity enough!!

It was an unforgettable experience. One of the best things we did on our trip to Italy. The tour was in English because there were none left in Spanish, and it was still perfect. Rafaelle explained everything about wine and Florence with great care and detail, and was very careful that we all had a good time. In addition, it was a beautiful day and the place was spectacular, we particularly liked the first winery (Montecchio) more, but overall everything was very beautiful. The wines, of quality, and the appetizer very rich. Finally, it should be noted that by sitting at joint tables when doing the tasting, they give us the opportunity to meet other travelers and enjoy a pleasant chat while we tasted the wines... a success. I would recommend it to anyone going to Florence!
