Full description

Depart Florence and journey to the historic Chianti Classico wine region by air-conditioned minibus while your English-speaking driver explains the stunning landscape where the most famous wines from Italy are produced. Visit two wine estates, with wine and food pairings. Sample 3 of the first wine estate's wines, along with some of the fresh olive oil they produce. Learn more about the unique techniques used to produce wine and get a better appreciation of the local viniculture on a tour of the wine cellars. Continue towards the second wine estate to take a tour of the cellars and compare and contrast their techniques with the first winery. Taste different wines and olive oils produced on the farm, paired with local specialties from Tuscany, such as cheese, salami, cold cuts, and bruschetta.

Meet your guide at Piazzale Montelungo, at the bottom of the highest red-brick building, opposite the parking lot (approximately an 8-minute walk from the Florence SMN Train Station). Look for a red flag or a sign with the activity provider’s logo on it. If you use Google Maps to reach the meeting point, do not follow the route passing through the train station. The exit there is closed.

Our driver and tour guide were phenomenal! From the moment we met at the checkpoint everything was so organized. Our Guide Raf, and Matteo did a great job getting us to our destinations. Raf had excellent customer service and made the bus ride on the way enjoyable by sharing information about the areas as we passed and about the vineyards we were visiting. As for the trip back, he was our DJ and played fun music we all sang too. He even went out of his way to try to help us get a taxi (which was a lot more difficult than it should have been) I highly recommend booking this trip and if it lets you request a driver and guide ask for Raf and Matteo!

The guide was very knowledgeable and told us about everything we were passing and what to look for as we were driving to the wineries. There were guides at the wineries whom were experts on their locations and wines and will answer any questions you have. There were guides wines were fantastic and you will get special pricing being straight from the winery. If you order 6 bottles you can have them arrange for shipping to anywhere in the world with a fee. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience how a Tuscan winery is.
