Amazing museum! It was endless at the amount of works of art. It was a memorable moment to see the “Birth of Venus” painting. It was the same feeling I felt when I saw the “Mona Lisa”. The best part of this experience was being able to see it up close and seeing the brush strokes so clearly. Overall, I’d go back again if I were ever in Florence. There’s so much to see, I’m sure we missed something.

We joined the long queue for our timed entry with trepidation, and initially, it was way too crowded to enjoy the experience. But we waited about 15 minutes for the main queue to move through and then we were blown away by the quality of the art on show and how easy it was to view the "famous" pictures. The notes next to each painting in Italian and English are very helpful to understand what to look out for. As four friends, we enjoyed discussing the paintings amongst ourselves, sharing what we liked, what we noticed. 2.5 hours went by very quickly, and we only managed to view the top floor in any detail. If we come again, we will try and do the top floor faster and spend more time on the lower floor.

Uffizi Gallery has an information booth. The place to exchange voucher for ticket was explained perfect on the site, Red 105. There is an information booth for Uffizi near there in case you are uncertain of which door to enter. skip the line is very worth it. We loved the audio tour and walked at our own pace.
