Full description
Join a 60-minute live virtual tour of Florence with an expert English-speaking local guide. With videos, photos and polls, you will learn about the art and architecture of Florence.

First stop is the world-famous Statue of David. Your guide will describe the rich backstory of Michelangelo’s statue, now located in the Accademia Gallery.

Next is the Uffizi Gallery, the best Renaissance art gallery in the world. Your guide will tell you about the works of Da Vinci, Raphael and Michelangelo that can be found there. You will also learn about Sandro Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Caravaggio’s Medusa.

Then, the guide will talk about the Duomo and Brunelleschi’s Dome. Florence’s Cathedral is topped by the largest brick dome in the world. Learn how Brunelleschi was able to design this amazing structure and how it has become the symbol of Florence.

Finally, your guide will take you on a virtual walk through the Renaissance city. You will see the great piazzas like Piazza della Signoria and Piazza di Santa Croce, as well as the famous bridge, the Ponte Vecchio, which straddles the Arno River.

At the end there will be a live Q&A session, where you can ask any questions you have about the city. Invite the whole family — huddle around the computer and watch together. There will only be one login per booking, and thus the virtual tour cannot be accessed on multiple devices. Any device may be used and no special program is needed. An email will be sent the day of the activity with login information.

No webcam or microphone is needed. If you would like to interact you are welcome to, but no one will see you or hear you speak unless you choose to participate in the Q&A portion, which is only audio. Your privacy is very important.
