Full description
Join this tour for a culinary journey through the heart of this historic city. Your tour begins when you meet your local expert guide in the center of Florence. The first stop will be in a typical Italian Bar where you will taste 2 different types of coffee and also learn about the Italian roasting process. At the second stop you will get the chance to try a panino tartufato in a historical delicatessen founded in 1885, recognized across the city for its gastronomic specialties and truffles that still remain a Florentine tradition. During the tour your guide will talk about the history of the most important squares in Florence, where in the past the Florentines would buy their food. The guide will also mention some local typical dishes.  Next, visit a local “Enoteca” where you will taste two more top-quality Tuscan wines, Italian cheeses, and two very special local cold cuts. Learn about the origins of each of these regional delicacies. The last stop will be at one of Florence's best gelato shops, where you will taste deliciously fresh and natural Italian ice cream.

The tour was good, I liked it, but I have to admit it was not so much interesting in information. I was expecting a bit more about local specialties, traditions, Chianti wine and Florentine meat, I thought, its worth mentioning a bit more history about it. Food tasting points are way too many and some are not really worth it. The guide was very good and easy.

The favorite part of our Florence stay!

Cristina was fantastic! Much high praise for her. The tastings were delicious and varied plus it made for a great walking tour of the city. Do this first and you'll really have your bearings. We went back and bought some wines, balsamic, and olive oil based on our tour experience. You WANT to do this tour!!!

    Fantastic tour

We had a great time and Christina was brilliant. She was funny, knowledgeable and spoke great English. The tour was well organized and the different stops were really good. I have certain food allergies and before the tour Christina made sure that I would not have any problems on the stops. I loved it and would do that tour again if we came to Florence.
