Admire the famous sites of Florence that have captivated readers for centuries. This tour provides insights into Dante's Florence and a detailed account of the history and legends behind the monuments that are the backdrop to this thrilling adventure.
The adventure begins in the quarter of Oltrarno and passes through Piazza Pitti, then crosses the Arno over the world-famous Ponte Vecchio, following the route of the Vasari Corridor. Next on the itinerary is the Piazza della Signoria where you can admire the imposing Palazzo Vecchio and some beautiful Renaissance sculptures.
The tour continues to Piazza Santa Croce where a statue of Dante stands. Moving on, the tour stops at the Bargello, the medieval fortress, and the Badia with its lofty tower, before heading towards Dante's neighborhood. Stroll down the medieval streets and see the church where, according to legend, the tomb of Dante's beloved Beatrice lies. The tour will then proceed to the Duomo and Baptistery.
