Full description

Get a taste of 'la dolce vita' on this jam-packed tour to the Cinque Terre, a collection of quintessential Italian towns dotted along the coast of Tuscany.

After meeting your guide in central Florence, listen to an insightful introduction about the Cinque Terre on the 2-hour bus journey to La Spezia. After a quick bathroom break, board the first train of the day. Arrive in Manarola, the first of the Cinque Terre villages you will visit. Here you will join a small guided walk through the vines, and then enjoy some free time to explore at your own pace. Next, take the train to Corniglia.

Climb the steps to reach the center of this quaint village and take some time to wander around. If you have selected the add-on, sit down at a local restaurant with a beautiful terrace and sea views. Tuck into a lunch of homemade pesto pasta for your 'primo' and fresh fish for your ‘secondo’. Then, choose to either go on an adventurous guided hike from Corniglia to Vernazza, or if you prefer to take it easy, follow your guide and take a train instead. Once in Vernazza, sit at one of the local cafés, or take a refreshing dip in the sea.

Next, board a train to Monterosso, the village renowned for its beautiful beaches and artisan shops. If the weather allows it, you will then board a boat to navigate along the coast of the Cinque Terre.

Arrive in Riomaggiore, an ancient fishing village and the most southern of the 5 villages. After exploring this last village, board the train back to La Spezia and then take the coach back to Florence.

The trip exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Alessandro, did his job 120 percent. He is a man worthy of the most beautiful words. It is clear that he loves his job because he gives his whole heart to tourists. We were extremely satisfied with his stories, advice, and help. It is impossible to visit so many beautiful places by yourself in one day. Everything is perfectly organized, coordinated, with perfect timing for leisure (free time). The lunch was very wonderful and worth the price, we are glad that this was also thought of, you don't have to take care of yourself! In fact, every minute was wonderfully spent. March 6 it was my sister's birthday and we decided to go on this trip on this day. My sister said she will never forget this birthday, it was the most perfect day of her life and the most wonderful day of vacation in Florence. We recommend it to everyone. Alessandro, saluti da Vilnius (Lituania). Grazie per il meraviglioso viaggio del 6 marzo 2023.

This is your definitive cinque terre tour experience! Alessandro was an incredible tour guide. Highly Informative, witty, friendly, approachable, and proactive. He knew what highlights were the tourists' priority, pointed them out, and ensured that everyone had sufficient time to check them out while still leaving room for other exploring. If you only have one day to spend in Cinque Terre, this is the tour to use.

We met outside of the train station and then walked to our bus. The seats were comfortable. The guides told us about the towns we were passing through along the way. I really enjoyed the lunch we were served in Corniglia and the last town we visited before returning. The guides, Alessandro, Gene, and Emma were great.
