Florence: Cathedral, Terraces and Dome Skip-the-Line Tour

Our tour was easy to find next to the Apple Store! Our tour guide was super sweet but it was hard to understand because of her accent; However, she did amazing in trying to explain the history and the building and we appreciate that. I was surprise that she climb the stairs with us all the way to the top of the Duomo! Really good experience!

Finally a skip-the-line tour that actually skips the line!! This was our FAVORITE tour out of the 10 tours we scheduled for Rome and Florence. Marta, our guide, was AMAZING, informative, inclusive and it was a pleasure to spend the afternoon with her. Before entering the duomo she explained the historical context of the cathedral, and shared information about the artist and competition to create the dome. When touring the first floor we entered by a side door and proceeded through areas that a regular entrance pass could not access. We then took to the steps and again entered a gated area to access the terraces. In our small group, we enjoyed the spectacular views and learned about the distant places we could see from that vantage point. Up more steps to the top of the dome...MAGNIFICIENT! We were the only group for about 10 minutes. There were again great opportunities for photos and Marta shared more places we could see looking out over beautiful Florence. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Laura was an excellent tour guide and did a wonderful job keeping the group of about 14 on track. She was funny, relatable and clearly know the subject matter very well. She made the 2.5 hour tour fly by and made it much more valuable versus and self-guided tour.
