Florence: Accademia Gallery Guided Tour

The tour guide Titana was great. She was very knowledgeable about the subject matter and showed great enthusiasm. We got to see and learn not just about the Statue of David but various other works. My sister has trouble walking so she was using a wheelchair and the guide helped us go through the entrance that was dedicated for people with her needs. The guide kept the group together, allowed various moments to take some amazing photos and helped us understand the history behind this momentous monument of man. The downside to this tour is that the tickets weren’t included, but it was clear when booking them. They had no problems buying them the day off. I was a bit nervous about this and just wasn’t sure. In reading about Italian tourism, it seems guides have priority access to ticket boxes. Another suggestion would be to have a more notable sign for meetup and for the guide as he/she moves through the museum. It would likely be easier to have a more vivid marker. Thanks, multo bene!

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend. Our guide was on time, professional, friendly and shared great information about the Accademia, the art and of course about the David and Michelangelo. Definitely recommend!
