We absolutely loved our tour with Tommy, he is incredibly astute regarding all the little background details of the art. So many extra stories, especially about Michelangelo! Gratefully his English is good, and he was such a gentleman, as a senior I move a bit slower. His knowledge peaked my family's interest in knowing more about art from this era. And David didn't disappoint, we were mesmerized, and in awe of this perfect sculpture. A gift to the world. Sure wish the venue would invest in AC, our visit during July 2022 heat wave would have been more pleasant.

I was choose this tour and paid extra for this as they mentioned small group tour and in the desription mention max 10 people. But in reality it's 16 people in the tour. the headset sounds quality is really bad, end up both myself and my husband using our own headset but still not the best sound to hear the tourguide talking.

Great experience seeing David. Tour office meet up was fairly easy to find; near the end of the street the museum is on. Helpful gentleman there checking us in, but we had to wait 15 min for our tour guide to arrive. Once he got there, it was smooth sailing skipping the line (so worth it-I mean it’s 101 in Florence right now), going through security and then making our way through the museum. Thomas did a wonderful job explaining fascinating details on lots of the pieces we saw; so interesting to hear the how and why’s begging specific paintings, tidbits and info on what was going on at the time the paintings and sculptures were being created. Note that you’re given a radio and earpiece to hear your guide. For the most part it was fine, it helped me to watch Thomas closely while he was speaking to make out exactly what he was saying with his accent and the noise of other tours. Manageable though, and it was a surprisingly special tour seeing David up close and personal. I loved it!!
