Full description
Join a small group tour to climb Brunelleschi's Dome and explore the masterpieces housed in the Uffizi Gallery. Skip the lines with pre-reserved tickets to both attractions. Start the tour by meeting your expert guide at the Piazza del Duomo. See the Baptistry and its ornate doors right in front of the cathedral of Santa Maria Del Fiore. Listen as your guide explains how this place has been the religious center of Florence since Roman times. Marvel at the exterior of the cathedral which dominates the skyline and its famous dome.  Next, enter the Duomo with your reserved skip-the-line tickets from a separate entrance. Climb Brunelleschi's iconic dome with your expert guide. Visit the internal terraces and see artworks and frescoes by masters of the Renaissance. Reach the top and admire scenic views of Florence and the surrounding Tuscan countryside from outside the cupola. Then, follow your guide as you take a short stroll through the wonderful old town. Take in the sights at Piazza Uffizi before you head into the Uffizi Gallery with your skip-the-line tickets. Learn about this historical palace designed by the architect Vasari that houses artworks from local churches and the Medici family’s collection. Discover paintings from the Gothic Ages to the Late Renaissance displayed in chronological order. Soak up your guide's expertise as they show you works by Giotto, Botticelli, Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Raphael. The tour ends at the Uffizi Gallery so you can enjoy more time to explore at your own pace. Alternatively, your guide will be happy to escort you to a cafe or bar for an aperitivo to recover.

The investment was absolutely worth it. We had a 3.5 hour history lesson on Florence Cathedral and the Uffizi Gallery. If you are in normal physical condition, you can easily climb the dome, as you can always take short breaks to breathe. The view is then breathtaking. The Uffizi is a dream.

We were twice as lucky. We had our guide, Silke, all alone and Silke works scientifically in the field of art history. She is German and explains the art in the Uffizi with a lot of passion. It explains details and provides background information. But to the extent that as an interested normal tourist you are not overstrained or bored. Absolutely TOP.

One our best tours - of many - with Getyourguide. Our guide Chiara was very knowledgeable, sweet, and understood exactly what we needed and Walter to know. We came out of Uffizi as well as Il Duomo with new energy just wanting to know even more.
