Florence: Gondola Boat Tour with Wine or Coffee and Snack

4. Florence: Gondola Boat Tour with Wine or Coffee and Snack

The Arno river is the history of Florence. It was its first supply source, and initially divided the city before uniting it through its marvelous Middle Ages and Renaissance bridges. Its riverbanks house some of the most beautiful ancient noble palaces, and nowadays it perfectly reflects the romantic, elegant, and slow flowing soul of Florence. This tour will let you discover this soul at the most picture-perfect moment of the day: aperitivo time. This important time of the day is right before dinner, right before sunset, when Florence is flooded by the most magical light, and even the cold stones seem soft and warm. Follow your guide from the bank, all the way through to the embarcadero (pier). Here you will climb aboard a barchetto, a Florentine gondola, one of the very few traditional wooden boats left in Florence. Your gondola will be conducted by an authentic barcaiolo, a Florentine boatman that will guide your boat with his long-reaching pole. There will be no noisy engines, only the charm of tradition and the voice of your expert guide to unveil the secrets of the Arno River. As you push through its calm waters, you will pass under the magnificent Florentine bridges and discover its history and the beautiful Palazzos that frame its ancient riverbed. Following your Gondola ride, enjoy a delicious drink and snack. In the evening, relax with a refreshing “aperitivo” with a glass of cool wine to celebrate your romantic stay in Florence. After your morning tour, savor an authentic Italian breakfast.

Cinque Terre is a beautiful place to visit, the views and the towns are amazing. But what really made the difference was our guide Andrea, he was so welcoming and attentive during the whole trip. He ensured to have drinks for everyone and he even had a small souvenir for the group as welcome gift. The weather was a little rainy and he was prepared with umbrellas and rain coats. He even booked us a table in a very good restaurant in town, with amazing food and the best tiramisu we had in Italy. We felt safe and very confortable in the trip because of him, it was an amazing experience. Thanks Andrea for all the time dedicated to our family during the trip and for being such a great tour guide.

GIACOMO WAS FANTASTIC! He greeted us right on time as we were nervous about setting up a trip this way but we confirmed multiple times over email and glad we did. He made us feel very comfortable and was extremely knowledgeable during our day trip to Cinque Terre. We loved the private tour as he allotted more time for what WE specifically wanted. He went out of his way to make it truly custom trip during our time frame. Thank You so much GIACOMO! Best hospitality :)

First class, well worth the money. The guide Antonio was very good. He was welcoming, friendly and a very likeable Person. His knowledge and commentary was first class. From the moment we were picked up until we were dropped off 10 hours later, we were treated to a special day. The trip and Cinque Terre is an experience that you must have.
