Our tour was 30-40 minutes late leaving. They were waiting for some people to arriv, however they didn't make it. I'm sure I would have been grateful if it had been me but it did shorten our stay. We needed more time in Florence as it was. The guide helped us get headed in the right direction thankfully. Managed to make it back to the meeting point, too.

Really good transport from the port to Florence. It’s quite a long journey, but the tour guide on the bus kept us entertained, and was very informative. The bus does stop quite a way from Florence city centre, but the drop off/ collection point is right by the cruise shuttle bus stop.

Here's what you need to know: coming off the cruise ship, you have to pay 7 euro for the shuttle. They will NOT let you walk it. The ride is less than 10 minutes, BUT be one of the first groups off the ship to avoid the line to buy the ticket (try to have exact change to make it faster) so you can get onto the first shuttle (and complain with the other passengers about how stupid it is that the cruise line doesn't include the shuttle in their fare). Once you get to the Piazza del Municipio, the setup is great. They had several people waiting for us in green shirts, as promised, holding signs for the various buses (Florence, Florence and Pisa, etc.). Check in and they will tell you which bus to go to. The bus ride is perfectly pleasant (1.5 hours). Upon arrival, our guide walked us to the bathrooms at the train station (bring 1 euro pp for this). Screenshot your location so you can easily find your way back later in the day. Very happy with this tour; would do again.
