Our tour guide Veronica was pleasant, welcoming and knowledgeable. She gave us lots of interesting information about the history of the Duomo and was very patient and understanding with my slower pace climbing the steps. Veronica was calm, professional and caring when I needed extra time before climbing the last few steps and ensured that I was feeling okay before continuing with providing the remainder of the tour information at the top. I couldn't imagine a better guide. Would highly recommend.

Tour was great and guide was very knowledgeable as most are. But, like all of my tours with GYG in Italy (3 in total) the directions to the GYG office are terrible and very hard to find. If you use GYG, you must give yourself a lot of time to plan on getting lost.

In fact, you only had to stand in line for a short time. You have to get the ticket (and audio guide on your mobile phone) near the Ponte Vecchio. What bothered me would be that little time 1 hour was available for ascent and descent as well as sightseeing. Especially at the dome base you had to go further and didn't have time to look at this work of art, let alone use the audio guide.
