Full description
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the towns, villages, and countryside of Tuscany on a full-day private excursion from Florence, and travel back in time to the days of the Romans, Etruscans and Middle Ages. You will start by driving to Pisa, a gentle town that recalls the days of the Pisan Republic. The focus will be on the astonishing Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles), home to the medieval Duomo, Baptistery, and legendary Leaning Tower. Continue to the Etruscan village of San Gimignano, famous for its Vernaccia wines and medieval towers. Stroll the narrow streets of this pearl of Middle Aged Tuscany, before driving to the walled settlement of Monteriggioni, built in the 13th century by the Sienese to keep watch over the Roman Via Cassia from its hillside location. Siena is the next stop, where you will tour the romantic center, best known for the annual Palio horse race in the shell-shaped Piazza del Campo. The city’s medieval skyline is dominated by the Gothic cathedral and taut needle of the Torre del Mangia. Also not to be missed is the Palazzo Pubblico, home to an important museum, and a great work of architecture in its own right. On the way back to Florence, see the charming Chianti area, characterized by rolling hills dotted with vineyards, cypress trees, olive groves, and small hamlets. You will stop at Panzano and Greve, 2 of the most beautiful Chianti towns. And, time permItting, break at a winery to taste world-famous Chianti wines and locally produced extra virgin olive oils.

We had the BEST day in Tuscany with Aldo! If we could give it 10 stars, we would! We went to Siena, San Gimignano, Chianti, and a couple of other small hill towns that were beautiful and interesting. We had lunch with a wine tasting at a vineyard in Chianti, and we stopped in a small town for the best pastries and espresso. It was a perfect day! There were 5 people in our group, and we were very comfortable in the van. I highly recommend this tour.

A true sample of excellent tour guide! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Aldo, we had a fantastic start! The guide and tour was extremely good, very flexible (appreciate this!) and for that he deserves a special thanks. We had a great time and his company added up to the experience. Aldo is such a warm personality and highly motivated guide (recommendable!). The scenery - back roads - was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a beautiful environment. The atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to all of us. All respect for Aldo who does a great job there; a true sample of excellent tour guide! Many thanks again and I recommend Aldo to everyone!

Massimo was absolutely excellent. Very friendly. Arrived on time and let us know some background and history of all the locations we went to. The drive was very scenic and the locations were picturesque. Massimo also gave us suggestions on where to have some of the best gelato in Italy and he was not wrong, it was absolutely delicious. 10/10 would absolutely do it again.
