1. Flam: Guided Shore Excursion with Port Pickup and Drop-Off

Explore the top sights in Flam on a guided shore excursion complete with return transport from the cruise ship port. Travel through the longest road tunnel in the world, step inside the Borgund stave church, and much more. Meet your guide and get ready to set out on your Flam adventure as you board an air-conditioned vehicle. Not long after starting your journey, you'll travel through the longest road tunnel in the world, the Laerdal Tunnel. Listen as your guide entertains you with interesting and surprising stories as you journey through the 24.5-kilometer-long tunnel lit by blue and yellow lights. As you exit the tunnel, you'll enter the picturesque Laerdal valley. Drive alongside the river and pass by numerous fruit farms known for their delicious stone fruits before the winding road brings you to your first stop of the day, the Borgund Stave Church. Step inside the historic structure and discover why it is considered one of the most distinctive stave churches in Norway. Then, head to the nearby museum and café to learn more about the church, grab a cup of coffee, or purchase a souvenir. Continue your tour as you travel from Laerdal Fjord to Aurlandsfjord, driving through the snow-capped mountains and making photo stops along the way. As you descend from the mountain, experience another highlight of your guided shore excursion, a stop at the famous Stegastein viewpoint. Step onto a viewing platform that extends 30 meters out from the side of the mountain and take in panoramic views of the Aurlandsfjorden. Finally, hop back aboard the bus and settle in for the return journey to the port, admiring the landscape as you wind your way along more of Flam's scenic roads.

What people are saying about Flåm

Great excursion for those with limited time in Norway. Our great guide Artur picked us up in Oslo and drove us to Geilo to take the Geilo-Myrdal train. The panorama was splendid and the fjords were covered in snow and ice! Then we took the Flam railway: superb views. In Flam, we took a cruise on the SogneFjorden aboard an electric boat: fabulous. On the way back, our great guide stopped us at amazing places for photos and then took us back to the hotel. A day where we took full eyes! Thanks again to our guide Arturs for his good humor and professionalism.
