Combine the thril of a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon with trips to the Navajo Reservation and Painted Desert on this full-day tour. With departures from Sedona and Flagtaff, it also includes one of America’s most scenic drives.
What to Expect
Thrill to the spectacle of the Grand Canyon on an exciting adventure that spends a full day taking in some of America’s most remarkable landscape.

You will be picked up from your Sedona or Flagstaff hotel for the stunning drive through the Oak Creek Canyon. Named one of the top 10 scenic drives in America, it provides a taste of things to come. You will pass the dormant volcanoes of the San Francisco Peaks as you leave the red rocks of Sedona behind.

There will be time for a stop at the Historic Cameron Trading Post, where you can pick up some authentic Native American art and crafts.

Gaze in awe at the western edge of the Painted Desert and the Little Colorado River Gorge, as you head towards the Grand Canyon.

Once the tour arrives at the Grand Canyon National Park, you will get your first view of the miraculous Colorado River at Desert View, and your first taste of the towering Grand Canyon itself.

The tour spends 4 hours in the National Park, where you can climb to the top of the Watchtower Observatory for magnificent panoramic views. Make your way along the rim of the Canyon for a stop at the perfectly named Grandview Point.

This transitional point between the Grand Canyon’s East and South Rims will take your breath away as you cast your eyes over the 14-mile chasm to the North Rim. You will visit the only point where you can see both Phantom Ranch and the Kaibab Suspension Bridge. Over a quarter of the Canyon can be seen from here.

End your Grand Canyon experience with one of the most thrilling rides of your life as you take to the skies for a 30-minute helicopter flight.

After a reviving lunch at Mawsik Lodge in the park you will have time to visit the shop and historic buildings, such as Hopi House and rustic El Tovar Lodge. Pay a visit to the Grand Canyon Railway Station and Kolb Studio, or grab some more souvenir snapshots of the Canyon as you peer down onto the Bright Angel Trail and Indian Gardens.

Keep an eye out for the wildlife, as you can sometimes spot California Condors swooping overhead, or the hard-working mules heading through the Canyon.

Throughout the day, you will receive interesting, informative, and entertaining narration from your expert tour guide. Be sure to reserve your place early, as this is one of the most popular and exhilarating ways to experience the Grand Canyon at its finest.
