Begin your tour with a welcome from your guide at the meeting point in Tromsø, followed by short ride to the lower station of the Fjellheisen Cable Car. With permission to skip the queue, board the cable car and travel up to the upper station at 421m above sea level, where your snowshoe hike begins. Strap into your snowshoes and grab your snowshoe poles! Your guide will accompany you, ensuring your comfort in the evening light and capturing magical moments along the way. From November to mid-March, you'll have the chance to chase the Northern Lights from atop the mountain. If the northern lights make an appearance, your guide will also capture an Aurora portrait for you. After approximately 1 hour on snowshoes, we return to the upper station. Here you can savor a hot drink and sweet pastry outside while we continue to look out for the Northern Lights on the open-air panorama terrace. After this relaxing moment, we will take the cable car down and a private shuttle bus will bring you back to town. Once you've warmed up, descend again by cable car and into the bus that takes you back to town, marking the end of your winter wonderland adventure.

The Fjellheisen Cable car is the perfect spot to observe the Northern Lights. A Northern Lights watchman will inform you as soon as they are visible so that you can enjoy the moment and take incredible photographs if you wish. You will be just outside of the mountain restaurant where the light pollution is minimal and views of the Aurora are clear. The view of the mountains covered with snown and the mystical Northern Lights will leave you with memories for life. From the large outdoor terrace, you can also view the majestic Tromsdalstinden peak which towers 1,238 m above sea level, and in summer, the panorama deck at the upper station provides an excellent opportunity for taking in Midnight Sun. During the Arctic winter, it’s an ideal place for hunting the magical Northern Lights on our evening trips.

Book you private transfer between Rovaniemi and Tromso by private minibus. Perfect for families and groups - child seats are available upon request We will agree with you pick up time and place. The road between Rovaniemi and Tromso takes around 7 hours at summer time and 8 hours at winter season. There are few stop at the gas station in the during the journey. Our minibuses are: Mercedes Vito, VW Caravelle, Opel Vivaro, Renault Traffic. The vans can easily fit up to 8 passengers and have a large luggage compartment.

The tour starts in the city center, with a brief introduction to the city and its history. Then we will drive across the bridge to the neighborhood of Tromsdalen. There we will see the Arctic Cathedral, one of the most emblematic buildings of Tromsø. From there we will head to the base of the Cable Car (Fjellheisen) to go up to enjoy the most spectacular view of the island of Tromsø and the group of islands behind it. Our guide will provide information about the region, flora, fauna, and geography. The tour lasts for 4 hours. It ends back in the city center or cruise ship quay.
