We begin our day from Argostoli in the south of the island and make our way towards the north part of the island. First, we make one brief stop at “Myrtos” Beach, one of the most beautiful and famous beaches in the world to take photographs of the breath-taking scenery and then we continue our trip to the north, towards “Fiskardo” village. Within a 45 minute drive approx. we arrive to the cosmopolitan port and village of “Fiskardo”. Spending some time there, we admire the traditional architecture preserved throughout the years, have a tea or coffee at one of the many little cafés spread along the waterfront, take photographs and perhaps do some shopping. Then we set off and head towards the village of “Assos”. Passing through all-green landscapes, we arrive at the small peninsula where the captivating “Assos” village is situated. There, we have plenty of time to wander around this picturesque village, admire the old fortress ruins located on top of the small hill, have a tasty meal or have a coffee at the little tavernas & cafes and perhaps even swim in the sparkling aquamarine waters of the pebbly bay. After our great time in “Assos”, we head towards another top notch destination. Driving by astonishing landscapes we reach first the truly beautiful and mythical “Melissani” cave lake. Into the cave, a small boat takes us for a ride around the lake to admire the stunning colours of the waters. Our next stop is the impressive “Drogarati” Cave. There we can admire the formations of stalactites & stalagmites created during thousands of years. At the entrance area there is a gift shop and a small café to enjoy treats. Finally we have a last brief stop (before we make our way back) at a shop where you can taste and buy local products.
