Full description

Set off on a guided tour of the medina, one of the largest fortified cities in the world. Explore the narrow streets dotted with shops selling fruits, spices, expertly woven Berber rugs and many other Moroccan arts and crafts. Visit the Al Quaraouiyine Mosque founded in 859 by Fatima el Fihriya and the Mosque of the Andalusians completed in 860 (please note that non-Muslims are not allowed to enter). Discover other places like the Nejjarine fountain, the Bou Inania madrassah dating back to the 13th century and the Batha palace, now a museum of arts and traditions.

Was a very good tour of the Medina of Fes. We saw everything that had to be seen, went to the market, found out how those beautiful rugs and carpets are made, how the argan oil is made and many other things. Our tour guide was very nice.

Our tour was the right length and pace. We were shown local customs and areas that we would never have come upon and/or understood on our own. It was a lot of walking that went on easily with Khali, who kept us on the move, made us laugh, and described the essence of places and history that we had hoped to learn about. He was very open to questions and happy to help us in any way. Especially for the time spent and the very affordable cost, I would not hesitate in the slightest to book this tour.
