Discover the Middle Atlas Mountains on a day trip from Fez. Visit a Berber family living in a traditional cave house, explore Azrou, see the Berber shepherds with their flocks, and marvel at endangered Barbary Macaque monkeys. Begin your tour with a pickup from your hotel in Fez. Enjoy a comfortable, air-conditioned ride to Immouzar. Learn about the town's famous September Apple Festival and see the cave homes of the local Berber community. As you drive towards Ifrane, stop to admire the hills of Ain Vital and capture the perfect Instagram photo. Stop in Ifrane, a charming village founded in 1930 by French immigrants. See the massive stone lion in town. Stroll along alleys lined with French-inspired architecture before heading to Ifrane National Park. Drive through the cedar forest to see the endangered Barbary Macaque apes. After leaving the park, stop for lunch (not included). Next, drive to Azrou, a Berber village at 4,100 feet in the center of the Middle Atlas region. See the traditional houses of the Berber community and pass Berber men walking with their flocks, grinding flour, and practicing their trades, especially carpentry. Finish your tour with a visit to a Berber family living in a traditional cave house to enjoy a cup of Moroccan tea. Learn about the Berber culture and traditions while sipping a steaming tea before returning to your Fez hotel.

Conductor fantástico (Munir). Conducción muy buena. Buena charla y buen ambiente. Preocupado por ir bien atendido durante todo el viaje. Buena furgoneta con aire acondicionado. Un pero. La recogida era en el riad a las 9 y a las 8,30 recibimos whatsap de recogida fuera de la medina (fatal de tiempo y precipitado). Nos gustó la visita a la cueva bereber (que es lo que menos nos interesaba) por las explicaciones del guía que acompañaba a otro grupo. A nivel antropológico e histórico fue enriquecedor. No recomendamos excursión por: Ifren en verano no vale la pena. Vistas del medio atlas tampoco. Ver camellos a pie de carretera en un cercado no nos gustó. El bosque de cedros se ve a pie de parking con dos cedros pelados y con monos sedientos. No entramos en el bosque porque el conductor nos lo desaconsejo encarecidamente. En Azrou se nos dio una hora para visitarla medina y comer. Tiempo escaso.

I was disappointed that Kemal did not give us any information en route to Ifrane and then couldn’t recommend what to see while there. I used google and google maps. It would have been better to spend more time at the forest and less at ifrane and def some history about the place. I really enjoyed the horse ride in the forest and would never have found the path without the the guy with the horse. The lunch was really good and the cave house was interesting and fun.
