You will embark on an extraordinary journey leaving Lisbon towards Óbidos, a medieval village surrounded by walls with Arab influences, evidenced by the white houses that adorn its streets. At the highest point, the majestic Óbidos Castle, built in the 12th century, bears the title of one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal. Known as the "Vila das Rainhas", this location was often gifted by Portuguese monarchs to their wives in the 13th century, as a gesture of love and devotion. At the end of the visit, we will toast to tradition with the unique "Ginjinha de Óbidos", a cherry liqueur served in a unique way in chocolate cups.
Our tour will continue towards the village of Batalha, where we will explore the Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória, also called "Monastery of Batalha". This masterpiece of Gothic architecture was erected by order of King João I, in gratitude to the Virgin Mary for the victory in the Battle of Aljubarrota, a story that unfolds in every architectural detail.
And finally, we will arrive at Fátima, an altar of Christian faith that transcends borders, a place of devotion and global pilgrimage. Let yourself be enveloped by the serenity and meditation that permeate this sacred place.
With the return to Lisbon our services will come to an end, but the memories of this experience will be recorded in your memory. One more story to be told.
