Cape Peninsula Shared Half-Day Tour

2. Cape Peninsula Shared Half-Day Tour

The Cape Peninsula is one of the most spectacular routes you can experience, and on this half-day tour you will get to see all the unspoiled beauty surrounding this lush area. The Peninsula itself is a generally rocky peninsula that juts out for 47 mi (75 km) into the Atlantic Ocean at the south-western extremity of the African continent. At the southern end of the peninsula are Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope. On the northern end is Table Mountain, overlooking Cape Town, South Africa. Our tour today will take you past the pristine beaches of the exclusive Clifton and Camps Bay, where you will get to see the extraordinary peaks of the Twelve Apostles. From here we will continue on to Hout Bay Harbor, where we will drive the stunning Chapmans Peak Drive. This spectacular road hugs the near-vertical face of the mountain from Hout Bay to Noordhoek. Hacked out of the face of the mountain between 1915 and 1922, the road was at the time regarded as a major feat of engineering. You will be awed both by its engineering wonders, as well as the natural views all around you! Finally we arrive at the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Here we will have the chance to experience the rugged flora and fauna of this area, as we gaze out over the meetings of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. Finally, we drive back to Cape Town via False Bay and Simons Town, where you will have the option to visit the unbelievable African Penguin Colony. We finish our day with a drive through the world-famous Constantia wine area before returning to Cape Town.

This has actually been the best experience of my life! Alberto was an incredible tour guide and highly recommend him!! We had the beach with penguins to ourselves for two hours so highly suggest going in the earlier trip if you can! Completely incredible

Great hike! Nick was really friendly, motivating and knowledgeable about all things table mountain. I was a bit worried about the height and difficulty, but it was really manageable, and well worth the hike once on top!

Really pleasant drive along the coast, stopping for pictures and coffee. Boulders Beach is amazing, both the view point and the small beach next to it. The guide knows well the places and best spots. Recommended.

A brilliant tour - and the guide Jay was incredible.
