Full description
Enjoy the snorkeling adventure of a lifetime as you pilot your own 13-foot (4-meter) inflatable mini-boat along the uninhabited cays and stunning beaches of Fajardo on Puerto Rico's eastern coast. Meet at Puerto Chico Marina and get some pre-ride instructions and safety orientation from the crew before boarding your fully-equipped mini-boat.

Benefit from the assistance and expertise of a certified guide leading you over the crystal clear waters towards small, uninhabited islands with incredible white sand beaches. Head north by northeast along the bluffs of Las Cabezas de San Juan Nature Reserve and the uninhabited Icacos Cay. Get a beautiful vista of the mountains of El Yunque rainforest, the mangrove-lined coast and Fajardo's 130-year-old Spanish lighthouse.

Icacos Cay is one of a string of cays that form La Cordillera Nature Reserve (Cayos de la Cordillera Nature Reserve). Acquaint yourself with your snorkeling gear and practice some free diving techniques in preparation for the most fascinating snorkeling experiences available in Puerto Rico. Discover spectacular coral reef formations, swim among schools of tropical fish, and learn about the wonders of the underwater world while snorkeling with your professional eco guide.

After a swim and some snacks and refreshments (found in the coolers provided on each mini-boat). The small island is surrounded by coral reefs and features incredible turquoise waters, pure white sand beaches and a lovely view back to the mainland.

Hear interpretations of the natural history of the reserve from your knowledgeable guide as they explain the surrounding scenery and guide you through another fun-filled snorkeling session. Re-board your mini-boat for the journey home to Marina Puerto Chico. The described order of sites may vary, depending on the weather for the day. Your guide will take you where the conditions and snorkeling are best at the time.
