1. When is the best time to visit Global Village?
Due to Dubai’s high temperatures in June and September, Global Village is a seasonal occurrence, taking place between October and May each year. November to February is the ideal time to visit Global Village, as the evenings are cool and comfortable. Weekends and holidays can be hectic, so avoid crowds by visiting between Sunday and Wednesday, either early evening for a chilled experience or late at night to catch the most entertainment.
2. What are the opening hours for Global Village?
When in season, Global Village’s opening hours are 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM Sunday through Wednesday and 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM Thursday through Saturday. However, be aware that Tuesdays are reserved for “families, couples, and ladies” and that solo men or male groups will not be allowed to enter (except on public holidays).
3. How much time should I spend at Global Village?
To reiterate: Global Village is enormous. A full Global Village experience could take the whole night – from opening until closing – and you would be entertained throughout. Four to five hours is plenty but perhaps not enough to see everything. Is Global Village worth visiting with less time than that? Yes: in two hours, you could easily explore a pavilion or two, sample some fantastic food, catch a show, and leave satisfied.
4. How do I get to Global Village?
Global Village is located on Dubai’s Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road, a few miles inland from the famous Palm Jumeirah. It is accessible by car, with both free and VIP parking available, or by taxi. There are also several bus routes to the venue, leaving from central Dubai locations, including Rashidiya Metro Station and Union Metro Station. Still, unfortunately, there is currently no direct metro line to Global Village.
5. Should I book tickets in advance?
You can buy tickets when you arrive at Global Village, but you may find long lines at the ticket counter. It’s best to book entry tickets online, as this allows you quicker access to the pavilions and other attractions once you arrive.
6. Is a tour of Global Village worthwhile?
Tours of Global Village itself aren’t necessary – getting around is easy, even if it is large, and the official website offers a useful app so you can plan your visit. However, it is worth knowing that Global Village features in several day tours of Dubai, which include transfers and guides and are often bundled with other nearby attractions, such as Miracle Garden.
7. Is Global Village wheelchair accessible?
Global Village is entirely wheelchair accessible, with priority entry and staff assistance on hand if required, as well as dedicated parking and wheelchair rentals available onsite.
