Everglades Indian Reservation Daytime Safari
- Small group
- Duration: 7 hours
Hop in for a day tour and discover the reservation of the Seminole Tribe deep in the Everglades. Dive into the interesting world of Native Americans and learn about their workday, culture, and lifestyle. Optionally, stay a night in one of the huts for an even more authentic experience. Go on a vigorous airboat ride across the Everglades swamps and learn everything about the delicate ecosystem and flora and fauna of the Everglades. Additionally, you have the option of going on a buggy tour and visiting the casino on the Native American reservation. Experience the exotic animal kingdom close up and see wild antelope, bison, various birds, alligators, raccoons, ostriches and wild boar in their natural habitat. With a little luck you might even spot one of the rare Florida panthers or black bears!

We were thrilled with the German guide, his knowledge of the country and its people. We were also a small group of 5 people, the guide answered our questions and requests. The reserve was in the middle of the nature reserve, we didn't see any real indigenous people, but why and why they ended up in the middle of the Everglades was impressively described. Since the Indians bought safari animals, we could also see zebras on our tour with the off-road vehicle. The tour would be great overall, but getting to the location is almost impossible without a car. It was given 7 hours, probably scheduled for and departure from Miami, but not included in the price. The tour then lasted a total of 4 hours on site, which was completely sufficient. You can also book the tour directly through Banana Joe, then there are not so many misunderstandings regarding the meeting point, duration and the price is cheaper.
The booking process was EXTREMELY COMPLICATED, first the organizer wanted to postpone the tour a few days before, when we couldn't the other day, the email contact was very rough and unfriendly. Until the end I was extremely unsure whether everything would work out at all. BUT the tour did take place (as booked and paid for months ago) -> The airboat and buggy tour through the Everglades is SUPER, I would do it again in a heartbeat! Our guides were great and the small group (approx. 10-15 people) was also great. Highly recommended!
Ben, Our guide who pick us up at our hotel was the owner of the company. Because of thunder & lightning our tour was cut short. We did not get to ride the swamp buggy, but our tour guide stayed with us the whole time and took us on a nature walk into the Everglades. We also saw a snake show. Finally, the weather cooperated and we were able to experience the ride of a life time: the airboat into the Everglades!! It was raining but what a trip!!! Ben was the best and very accommodating. The trip was perfect in every sense of the word.
Banana Joes was a great service. The guide was very knowledgeable.
