Full description

Discover the Everglades National Park, a diverse landscape providing crucial habitats for numerous rare and endangered species. Take an airboat ride, and view alligators, turtles, and even the elusive Florida panther.

After paying the park admission fee, immerse yourself in swampland often referred to as the River of Grass. The park known as such because of the endless prairies of sawgrass that rise three to ten feet above the surface of the water.

Encounter lush vegetation of the Everglades which also includes mangroves, cypress, palms, pines, and hardwood hammocks (small islands). The sawgrass is often so dense that travel is only possible through natural water passages.

Ride on an airboat, which is designed to operate well in shallow water and marshlands. Propelled by an aircraft-type propeller and powered by either an aircraft or automotive engine, have a fast and fun journey.

Complete your visit with a wildlife and alligator show. Get up close with these remarkable creatures in their natural habitat.

Best of the best…I’ve been on many airboat rides, these guys are the best hands down…our guide was amazing, showed us everything he could find and there was a lot of alligators, birds, plants…after our cruise, you go to a huge shed, lots of gators, huge frogs and a beautiful bird are brought out, Tom was so entertaining…we had a blast will definitely come back…

Good experience: you arrive at a roadside location where there is a sort of hut / kiosk with parking and attached canopies. The property overlooks a waterway and airboats depart from there. Noise plugs are provided and a $ 5 per person federal Everglades park access fee must be considered. The excursion itself lasts about 30 minutes in good and bad weather (bring ponchos if you are in doubt), and it is nice but we expected a little more. Also nice to be able to see a couple of alligators up close in their natural environment. On the way back you can attend a small show with alligators and other local species. Tips are separate and if you wish to leave them, you must bring cash. Maybe I would lower the price, but on the other hand we are in a very expensive area of Florida, so stay in line with the place. It is an option to consider if you have little time to spend in the area.

The tour is only worth it if it has rained beforehand or at least it's not that hot as the alligators don't show up when it's hot (for those people who really want to see the big animals). We had a good thunderstorm, but the boat drove anyway and it was a lot of fun even though the boat is very loud and you should wear ear protection. The stories from the tour guide were also great to listen to. We saw some alligators and other special animals. I can only recommend bringing a hat and a light jacket as the sun is already quite strong. Especially mosquito repellent would be an advantage on this boat tour. The wildlife show was quite short but very informative and also made fun. We would do it again.
