The 7 Things You Must See in Estepona

This beautiful and authentic Spanish town is located on the coast, maintaining its character and charm without the usual tourism trappings. Visit for its cobbled streets and bodegas at each turn, and stay for relaxation or additional excursions.

Old Town

This is the beating heart of Estepona, and the place to stay, eat, and hang out if you want to be in the thick of the action. It's vibrant at night, so come and soak up the atmosphere.

Plaza de la Flores

This square has some beautiful restaurants, from fine dining to quick bites of tapas. Our tip? Come for breakfast in the morning when it's cool, calm, and popular with locals.

Ruta de Murales Artisticos

This amazingly colorful and vibrant route through the city's street art and many murals is a great way to spend an afternoon. Visit the tourist office for a map of the artwork.

Paseo Maritimo de Estepona

Enjoy the seafront and the sea air with a walk along the waterfront. The excellent views are best enjoyed at the marina -- stop by the playground for entertainment for the kids.

Nuestra Senora de Los Remedios

This beautiful church overlooks the old town and offers lovely views, but be prepared for the steps to the top. Entry is free!

El Cristo Beach

Looking to relax and catch some rays? The area has a few pleasant beaches, but El Cristo has it all--blue flag status, fabulous sunsets, and shallow waters--perfect for children.

This beautiful old village makes a lovely day trip by car. Cliff walking is popular, as is just visiting, grabbing lunch, and seeing the architecture of Puente Nuevo bridge.

Planning Your Estepona Visit

Getting around

Renting a car is an easy and relatively inexpensive way to get around the region. For day hire there are a few central places in Estepona--try to compare online before you go, or ask for quotes from a few before committing, and make sure the price includes an excess waiver (unless you have separate insurance coverage). For ease, it may be worth hiring a car from the airport. Compare online, before leaving home, for the best price.

Golf in the region

Southern Spain is a popular place for golf and there is no shortage of courses to serve your needs in Estepona. Estepona Golf Course is a popular, reasonably priced, and well-manicured course; while 18 holes at Valle Romano will set you back a little more, although it's a nicer course with great views.

What People Are Saying About Estepona

Great visit, enjoyed by everyone. Loved the Rock tour

Our party of nine adults had a busy but very enjoyable day on the rock. Time was allocated for shopping before and after the rock tour, although the time after was curtailed somewhat due to the rock tour over-running. The rock tour itself was great, especially seeing the monkeys. Our guide was very courteous and provided some well received comedic moments. Overall, everyone enjoyed the day and returned happily to Spain with their many purchases.

Lovely trip on a top quality coach and top quality tour guide.

The coach arrived at the pick up point promptly and we had a warm welcome from the guide. The coach was clean, well maintained and air conditioned. The journeys to and from Gibraltar were unremarkable, which in itself is a major compliment.

Well organised. The guide Lucy at Alhambra excellent.

Have to admit it is not an easy task to deal with a group with four different language speaking people. Nati, Julian's guide was so good. I invite people all over the world to come and visit the Red Fort, Agra Fort and THE Taj Mahal and enjoy the creation, the art and artisans skill. Believe me they are extraordinary. I only hope we could organise our tours so efficiently and with educated proffessional guides.

The booking was easy and the tour was perfect

I had missed the bus on 19/03/2016 and the booking consultant offered to give me an alternative date which was the 21/03/2016. I was very grateful for this. The tour was perfect; the guides explained important areas of the tour in detail. The driver/guide in Gibraltar, particularly, was so hilarious he kept us in stitches with his jokes. He said his name was "Jesus".

Fabulous day with great guides who both spoke excellent English.

Very interesting trip along the Costa de Sol picking up passengers and Gibraltar lived up to expectation which isn't bad when we were not interested in the duty free shopping.
