48 hours in Las Vegas

With its bright city lights, amazing shows, and numerous casinos along the Vegas Strip, it is no wonder Las Vegas is considered the Entertainment Capital of the World. Also known as the City that Never Sleeps, it can be overwhelming to plan your travel itinerary. We've done all of the hard work for you and have put together a weekend itinerary in Las Vegas for your next visit to the city, including a variety of activities for 2 days in Vegas from outdoor adventure to romantic rendezvous. We've even allotted time for you to indulge in Vegas' scrumptious buffets, with menu items such as fresh clams, calamari, risotto, pastries, and fresh fruit.

Day 1

06:00 AM - Tour of the Grand Canyon

Head out early to get to the Grand Canyon for a tour. It will last all day, so be sure to get some good rest the night before. On this tour, you'll enjoy a ride through the forest, go hiking on the trail, visit the Native American Village, and shop at the souvenir center. Have your camera with you because you will have several opportunities to take amazing photos. If you're up for it, you can walk on the horse-shoe-shaped glass bridge that extends over the rim of the Grand Canyon. The company picks you up at local Vegas hotels, so you don't have to worry about transportation. Breakfast and lunch are also included in the fee.

7:30 PM - Refuel with a Las Vegas buffet dinner

Once you're back at your hotel, you'll have a little time to rest before heading out for dinner. You'll probably be hungry, so this might be a great time to visit one of Vegas' most popular buffets, such as the Buffet at Wynn Las Vegas or the Wicked Spoon Buffet at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Some of the buffets are very elegant while others are more casual and include dishes like pizza, roasted meat, and pasta.

09:00 PM - Gondola ride at the Venetian

Take a gondola ride at the Venetian in Vegas. Both indoor and outdoor boat rides are available, so the weather won't stop your fun. The Venetian is close to Madame Tussauds, so you might want to stop by there to give a shout out to Beyoncé, Shaq, and the MARVEL super heroes. Keeping with the theme of romance, you can then take a walk and enjoy the water shows at the Fountains of Bellagio. Grab a stylish cocktail or go dancing at one of Vegas' stylish nightclubs, such as the Omnia Nightclub in Caesar's Palace, or the Hakkasan Nightclub in the MGM Grand Las Vegas.

Day 2

07:30 AM - Kayak the Colorado River

Get up early to enjoy a little Vegas adventure. Go kayaking down the Colorado River and enjoy the beauty of Emerald Cave. You'll also do a little hiking, so be sure to wear some comfortable shoes. This tour will last about four hours and includes snacks and water, but no lunch, so make time for breakfast before you go. The company will pick up guests at various locations around the Vegas strip. So again, you won't need access to a car.

12:00 PM - Explore the iconic Fremont Street

For lunch, grab something to eat at one of the food trucks on or by Fremont Street. Some of your choices include a taco stand, barbecue truck, fried chicken truck, and a pizza truck. Once your food has settled, you can go ziplining over Vegas or try indoor skydiving at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

04:00 PM - Discover the city's best kept secret food spots

Experience some tasty Vegas cuisine on a secret food tour. This tour lasts a few hours, and along with sampling great dishes, you’ll also learn about the history of food in Las Vegas. Later, you can go wine tasting at the Vegas Valley Winery (about 20 minutes from the heart of the city). Along with wine tasting, this winery often has live musical performances, sporting events, and wine/paint socials.

07:00 PM - Have a laugh at a variety show

Catch a comedy act or the Variety Show at V Theater inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. This show features acts such as magical performances, stunts, and comedic skits. After the theater, you'll want to grab a bite to eat. Stroll back down Fremont Street where you can choose to eat at a steakhouse, bbq restaurant, or Italian eatery.

10:00 PM - See the city light up from the High Roller

Take in the bright lights of the city with a ride on the High Roller (a Ferris wheel with air-conditioned compartments) before you head back to your hotel or off to the casino for a little more gambling fun. You might also book a helicopter ride to take in panoramic views of this exciting city.
