    Begin your dolphin and whale spotting expedition by checking in at Walvis Bay Waterfront at 8:30 am. Depart from the Jetty between 8:45 - 9 am. From there you’ll begin your search for Namibia’s marine Big 5. Sip a hot coffee or tea as you approach Pelican Point. Admire its landmark lighthouse and see the 60,000 cape fur seals who live there. If visiting in-season ( from July to November), you'll be able to spot large sea mammals including the Southern Right Whale and the Humpback Whale. If you’re lucky, you may be able to see a gray whale or a pygmy right whale. Observe different species of dolphins including bottlenose, Heaviside's, and dusky dolphins. Keep a lookout for mola molas and leatherback turtles. As you make your expedition, you’ll encounter a variety of seabirds including kelp gulls, Hartlaub’s gulls, and cape cormorant.     After hotel pickup in Swakopmund or meeting your guide at the Walvis Bay Waterfront, admire the mass of flamingoes in the Walvis Bay Lagoon. Your 4x4 tour will head out to a tidal lagoon consisting of adjacent intertidal areas, mudflats, and sandbars that supports thousands of wetland birds. In addition to the many flamingoes, there are 11 species of endangered birds regularly observed at this RAMSAR site. Next, your tour will proceed to the Kuiseb river delta, a dry riverbed where springboks are sometimes seen. Here you'll also look for some of the area’s smaller creatures, such as the fog-basking beetle, dancing spider (white lady of the Namib), golden mole, shovel-snouted lizard, and palmato gecko.     Begin with an informative tour of the Walvis Bay Lagoon and salt mines. Learn about the birdlife of the area before reaching Pelican Point Peninsula. Then take a short 4x4 adventure along the beach. Keep your eyes peeled for the Black-Back Jackal population that patrol the shores. The lighthouse indicates the start of the large seal colonies on the beach and in the water. Once the vehicles find a spot to park as to not disturb the colonies, the preparation for kayaking begins. Water-resistant clothing, flotation devices, and dry bags are set out for use while kayaking. The guides will ensure you are correctly dressed and fastened in the flotation devices before starting the safety briefing. Be assisted onto your kayak and launch out onto the water.     Your tour starts around 7:30 AM with pick-up from your accommodation in Swakopmund or Walvis Bay. At 8:00 AM depart towards Henties Bay, driving next to the Atlantic ocean, where you'll stop to view a shipwreck. Around 8:30 AM you'll have a stop for a photo opportunity at a unique holiday resort. Then, at 9:00 AM you'll arrive at Henties Bay for a quick tour and a bit of a history lesson before you head to your main destination.     Experience the adventure and beauty of exploring the Namib Desert on your own 4x4 vehicle lead by an experienced guide. Your day starts after collection from the Walvis Bay Yacht Club at 8:30 AM. After a quick briefing, you'll depart towards Sandwich Harbor. Along the way, stop at the Walvis Bay Lagoon- a Ramsar site which is home to 250,000 flamingos during the rainy season. Stop at the Walvis Bay Salt Refinery where you'll learn more about the production taking place there. From there, head into the Kuiseb riverbed. From there, drive alongside a natural salt pan en route to the Namib Desert. Stop to look for wildlife along the way and then its onto Sandwich Harbor. The narrow stretch of beach you have to pass next is exciting. It is the famous area where huge Namib dunes meet the roaring Atlantic Ocean.. Conclude your tour back to Walvis Bay.

    Launch near the historic landmark known as Bird Rock and paddle for about an hour in calm waters sheltered by the bay. Enjoy the wonderful bird life, see seals playing and dolphins swimming. See pelicans, cormorants and flamingos. Paddle for about 1 hour before enjoying some hot beverages on the beach. The brand new Fluid Synergy kayaks can be paddled solo or as a double and can accommodate a small child together with parents for fun for the whole family. Bird Rock is also known as Guano Island. Learn about one man's entrepreneurial drive to build a man-made island to harvest its “white gold.” By about 12:30 PM you’ll be back in Swakopmund to get ready for your afternoon activity.

Absolute amazing tour to beautiful Spitzkoppe mountains! We had a great day with our guide JP from the Red Dune Safaris. JP was very welcoming, funny and friendly guide. Great driver too. He took us to different interesting places along the way, shared his knowledge and made great conversation. Everything was greatly planned and yet relaxed. We would definitely recommend his services.
