Overall rating
It was an excellent and diverse experience. Segesta is definitely worth visiting archeological site! Salt Pans were a very welcome stop after a lot of walking in Segesta. Erice was a magical city on the top of the hill which our driver Stefano conquered masterfully. Our guide Silvio was knowledgeable and eloquent in Italian, French and English!
It was a good way to spend the day outside Palermo city and experience two very different smaller towns, learn about the history of (sea) salt production and Marsala wine, as well as have a very tasty lunch. Our excellent driver, Francisco, was very personable and added to the enjoyable day.
I really enjoyed the trip! They gave us enough time to see all attractions. I would recommend sitting on the right side of the bus for better views ;) The staff were very friendly and provided us with some tips before exploring.
