Trip with 2 adults & 2 kids under 10yrs. It was well organised, & a good, full day out. The guides were really interesting & full of local information. Lunch was nice but took a long time with young kids. The tour in Heraklanium was fascinating but we didn’t get to go into the gift shop and no time was allowed to explore independently, which became a bit of a drag with the kids who got a bit hot & bored at times. The mountain was good, very hot & steep obviously. Would recommend wearing closed in shoes as the ground is loose gravel and slippy, quite hard to walk on, like walking on sand. Spoiler alert, no lava in the mouth of the volcano, which my son was a bit disappointed about. However that being said we all thoroughly enjoyed the day and were really pleased to have experienced both.

The tour was very rushed and skipped some important places including the temple.
