Fabulous day out .arrived on time and the tour guide on our coach was a lovely lady .very funny and informative .the trip is pretty early but means you miss the queues and hot afternoon sun.the lady taking us around herculaneum was also very informative and answered any questions and brought the place alive .lunch near vesuvius was plentiful and tasty .would definitely recommend .fantastic time .would definitely use get my guide again

, The experience went well, however with quite a few hitches. During lunch we were told several times that we would not have the passage for the return and that we would be paying € 50 each. A nice surprise being that we were at the foot of Vesuvius in the middle of who knows where. However, the return was already scheduled from the tour to the Place for pick-up that had been in Herculaneum (instead it had to be in Portici. So it was not even for the outward journey, having to use one's own means even though the pick-up from the Hotel). I appreciate the willingness to listen and to find a solution after two denials. It went well. After a ride in the van and one in the car picked up off the highway, we arrived in Herculaneum and then managed to get to Portici by our own means. It was certainly a logistical experience! Very enjoyable lunch.
