Ercolano: Herculaneum Priority Entrance Ticket

1. Ercolano: Herculaneum Priority Entrance Ticket

Gain instant access to the ancient Roman town of Herculaneum with your priority entrance ticket. Herculaneum was buried under ash after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD but, unlike the nearby site of Pompeii, a lot of the town was preserved: roofs, beds, doors, food, and even 300 skeletons. Walk the cobbled streets of this UNESCO World Heritage Site and get a glimpse of what life was like before the devastating eruption. Marvel at artifacts that have kept their original form for almost 2000 years.  Explore intact buildings at your own pace, see well-preserved frescoes and imagine the daily rituals of those using the shops, public gymnasium, and public swimming baths that can still be seen today.

Herculaneum: 3D Walking Tour with Skip-the-Line Ticket

2. Herculaneum: 3D Walking Tour with Skip-the-Line Ticket

Wear your Augmented Reality smart glasses and enjoy a unique, innovative, and immersive walking tour at the archaeological site of Herculaneum. Travel back to 79 AC and see what Herculaneum's squares and houses looked like before being destroyed in a volcanic eruption. Meet your tour leader at Herculaneum main entrance and get kitted out with your glasses before listening to a quick introduction to how to use them. Then, begin your tour which has been designed by an archaeologist team to show you what life was like in Herculaneum before the eruption. The software of the glasses creates holograms that overlap the existing ruins, showing what the most significant temples, houses, and buildings originally looked like. Cast yourself into the bygone age of ancient life in Herculaneum, walking through the city to feel like a Roman.

Naples: Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Mount Vesuvius Tour

3. Naples: Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Mount Vesuvius Tour

Following your tour pickup, you will make your way south to explore the ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum. Stroll through the streets of the Roman city of Pompeii and check the numerous different UNESCO archaeological sites, such as the Herculaneum. Both archaeological sites feature the excavated ruins of alleyways and homes where you are free to explore. These locations are also fascinating in that archaeologists are still continuing to unearth the remains of a place forever locked in time. Following your exploration of the ruins, drive up to Mount Vesuvius, the volcano that destroyed Pompeii 2,000 years ago. You can stop to enjoy the view of the Bay of Naples from the top, as you enjoy a delicious lunch. If you are a hiking and history lover, this Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Mount Vesuvius tour is all you need.

What people are saying about Ercolano

Great experience albeit without tour. The ausio guide was informative enough. It was cooling and huge. A 'tour guide' approached me at the ticket entrance but I don't know how legitimate she is so be careful of that. You do need to deposit a form of ID at the audio guide counter to ensure that you return the audio guide back.

Arrived around 9am, no queues and very few people inside, very interesting site, a couple of hours is adequate to see it. It's a different experience to Pompeii. Worth visiting. As an aside, the "food court" is a room with a bunch of vending machines, having said that, the coffee was still good (it is Italy after all).

I felt the guide was critical to the enjoyment and that the AR Glasses portion added just 10% to the overall experience. Our Guide was knowledgeable and fun. The skip the line tickets worked fine. Herculaneum itself is AMAZING! I felt the overall price was expensive but it was worth it.

Amazing place to visit. So much to see and enjoy. We had an audio guide which was easy to use and very informative.

Entrance ticket to be exchanged at the ticket office, we don't save time and the price is higher ☹️
