We appear to have been very lucky in that the day we booked the ballon was actually flying … I noticed that many of the days leading up to our trip it was cancelled so I had no idea if it would actually happen as we only had the one window of opportunity one morning between other booked tastings . As it happened we arrived at 10.30 am and walked straight in and onto the balloon and it was very quiet and a lovely clear day so we did really enjoy our short flight with a glass of champagne …. It was great for getting our bearings for a short visit to Epernay and ticked and experience off the bucket list .

A good 10 minutes at a height of about 150 m, pulled up on a fixed steel cable... a great view over the city and vineyards... it's worth it! And a glass of champagne...great!
Really enjoyed it and glad i booked two flights - first one was busy and i took photos and second one only had two of and I was able to enjoy the views in a calm manner :)
