Visit the city of Encarnacion on the border of Paraguay and Argentine. From time to time Paraguay experiences internet disconnections so sending us a message early is best. The famous border city is home of the famous costanera, known to be one of the longest sidewalk areas running along the Parana river that divides Paraguay from Argentina. La Costanera on the Paraguay side faces the Argentine city of Posadas. While in Encarnacion we will visit the museum of the Sacred Arts located at the Catholic University of Paraguay. The museum exhibits a collection of artifacts from the 17th and 18th centuries of the jesuit priests and the Guarani Indians. This history was made famous in the movie 'The Mission'. After the museum we will go to the costanera where we will find a location to eat. Guests will have the option of where to stay in Encarnacion for the night, and whether to stay in inexpensive or luxury accomodations for the night. The next day it is off to see the Jesuit Ruins in Trinidad about an hours drive from Encarnacion and then head back to Asuncion and each tourists hotel.
Pickup at the hotel at 8 am and travel to the city of 'Encarnacion'. Arriving at Encarnacion at 2 pm. Visiting the museum till 5pm or later. After the museum we can take a walkin tour to the costanera and stop at local restaurants to get a bite to eat. Please note that Encarnacion is a large metropolitan area and large numbers of people from many different towns are there so please stay close to the group and be alert because it is an extremely busy place. Afterwards it is off to the hotel or hostel depending on the tourists choices. The next day after breakfast it is off to the Jesuit Ruins in the city of Trinidad. The group returns to asuncion by 10pm or later depending on when the group wants to leave the Jesuit Ruins.
