Guide was amazing. Sonia was lovely and friendly and very informative. Would definitely recommend. Both Lucerne and Engelberg were such beautiful places though very different. Lots of history at Lucerne and a carnival was going on with so many people dressed up in costumes and lots of music going on. Engelberg was absolutely breathtaking. The Mountain View’s were incredible.

Discover the beauty of the Alps on this day trip by bus from Zurich to Lucerne and Engelberg. See the shimmering waters of Lake Lucerne and have free time to explore Lucerne. Visit a monastery in Engelberg and have time to soak up the charm of this village.  Hop aboard a climate-controlled bus with plenty of space at the centrally-located meeting point in Zurich. Take in the countryside as you pass by Lake Lucerne. Stop to visit the beautiful city of Lucerne with an hour of free time.  Continue to Engelberg to check out the stunning Baroque church of the monastery which was built by Benedictine monks in 1120 and still functions to this day. Stroll through the monastery garden to explore the monks' flower shop, or head to the show dairy to discover the secrets of the renowned Swiss cheese. Spend the next hours strolling through the village and shopping for souvenirs at a local cheese shop.  Alternatively, you can hike one of the well-prepared trails in the beautiful surroundings or take the funicular up to Gerschnialp to enjoy beautiful views of Engelberg. Return to your meeting point in Zurich at the end of your tour.

Your tour departs from Zurich Sihlquai Bus Station near Zurich HB (main train station). Follow track 18 (last track on street level) until the road turns right. Follow the road for 50 meters and find the Zurich Sihlquai Bus Station across from Starbucks. By public transport take tram 4, 6, or 13 to the stop Sihlquai/HB. Please arrive 15 minutes before departure to check in at the counter of “Best of Switzerland Tours.” Please ensure you bring a valid ID and have the QR code on your printed or digital voucher ready for scanning.

Overall the trip was very nice, and this thanks to Roberto which was our guide. Lucerne and Engelberg are fantastic places. It would be better if we could stay a bit longer in Lucerne but it was ok. I recommend this trip :)
