An awesome way to experience Uluru, especially in the heat. The staff we very friendly and patient with training you how to use the Segway and our tour guide was very knowledgeable with the history and facts of Uluru. A bit on the pricey side, but great experience, highly recommended.

Full description

Embark on a sightseeing Segway tour of Uluru and learn about local Aboriginal culture, flora, fauna, geology, and history with an expert guide.
Drive yourself to Uluru and meet your friendly guide. Here the guide will teach the group how to learn the basics of driving a segway. Once ready, glide around the entire base of Uluru you'll set off on a fully guided tour around Uluru's full base.

Take in all the highlights of the rock and learn about local Anangu culture, flora, fauna, geology, and the European history of the area. You'll get up close and personal with picturesque landscape, ancient Aboriginal culture, and the history of Uluru. Immerse yourself in the outback landscape that the Central Australian region is famous for.

Kuniya Carpark, Uluru, Mutitjulu NT 0872, Australia To find the meeting point: drive into the national park, past the sunset viewing area, at the round-a-bout turn right and follow the road and take the first left hand turn into the Kuniya carpark. The meeting point is at the back of the Kuniya carpark and very easy to find one your park.

  • Segway training and all protective and safety gears are included in the ticket price
  • Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park entry ticket and transfers from Ayers Rock Resort are not included in the ticket price
  • All guests will need to bring a Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park Entry Ticket or $25 cash per person to pay for a National Park Entry Ticket
  • Please note you need to have your own transport to get to the carpark at Uluru. There is no public transit to Uluru and it is too far from the resort to walk
  • Please wear closed-toe shoes. Those wearing flip-flops will not be permitted to participate
  • Remember to bring a cap, sunglasses, a shirt with sleeves and at least 1 liter of water per person.
  • Segway riders must be between 45 – 117 kilograms
  • Riders under the age of 18 years will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian

Our guide Kyle, aka “seg on” was excellent. He shared stories of the indigenous people, was friendly and personable, and kept a good pace. This was a wonderful way to see “the Rock” and learn about it. I highly recommend this activity!
