we had a very nice lady as our driver to the jeeps. she is learning English by talking to her guests. She speaks very well that way. she also drove a little extra route through the beautiful environment between Yogyakarta and the Merapi. Therefor we had no bother of the heavy traffic jams. I would recommend her. So was the guy at the jeep tour. he was from the local village near the Merapi and explained about the severe damage of the eruptions in 2006 and 2010. he drove carefull and his English was also really well.

It was an amazing experience overall. Brian was in contact a day earlier and picked us up sharp at the specified time. It was a 40-45 minute ride to the jeep transfer point from our hotel in Yogyakarta city. Upon reaching the jeep transfer point, Fajar took over and was our guide throughout the tour. An extremely pleasant guy and very accommodating. We took the sunrise tour and Fajar did a great job taking a lot of pictures for us. The entire trip was worth every penny.
