Yogyakarta: 2-hour Batik Making Course with Souvenir

I lived doing the batik…it’s like magic seeing the colours come out and understanding this amazing wax process… so many beautiful creations! Thanks to the staff for their guidance…. highly recommended, not just for ‘artists’ but for all!

We signed up for a 2 hour batik painting class, but ended up upgrading our session and stayed almost half a day in the workshop! It was the highlight of our trip to Jogja, the experience was truly wonderful, the instructors and senior artists present throughout the experience was absolutely kind, the aunties who worked on the batik drawing were especially the sweetest. I felt at home and made friend with everyone! The course flow was very clear, absolutely great investment for a memorable experience while also picking up a new skill; and learning to appreciate how tricky the process of producing a beautiful and neatly done batik piece can be. I will never undervalue batik paintings from now on. I am glad we tried this, and we hope more people will sign up and experience it themselves!
